Farniyaz Zaker has a long-standing interest in textiles, particularly carpets, and their interaction with architectural spaces. With extensive experience as a designer and textiles expert for MTE UAE and MTE Iran, Zaker has developed a deep expertise in working on commissions in both Iran and the UAE.
In 2007, Zaker was commissioned by the Municipality of Tehran to design the carpets for the interiors of Milad Tower (also known as Tehran Tower).
Zaker’s designs can be found in numerous public buildings and hotels across the UAE and Iran, including the Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and the Hyatt Hotel Capital Gate in Abu Dhabi; the Dubai Renaissance Hotel, Dubai Marriott Hotel, Dubai IBIS Hotel, and Dubai Novotel Hotel; as well as the Laleh and Homa International Hotels in Tehran.Laleh International.

Furthermore, Zaker created two design books (pattern catalogues) for textiles and carpets, which were exhibited at the Domotex Interior Design Fair in Hanover, Germany, in 2007 and 2008.
